there should be. Once I had same sort of problem and came to know that there is some problem with MOB and had send them for Repair.
there might be another reason for that which would be of due to RAM.

Interesting what you say about RAM.
My bios tells me I currently have a 256 DDR266/ 133/133 MHz DDR SDRAM?
The CPU is a Intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz (133 mhzx18.0)
The mother board is a BD7II/BD7II-RAID . I wanted to upgrade my RAM and emailed a few places and was told that my mother board could handle by to DDR333. Took it into a shop and they put in 1 G DDR 400. they restarted it and the BIOs showed that it was detected so hence it was compatable. Problem was not sure if the reboot problem was there before hand. Might have to remove it and see if problem persists. Its not a biggie but just interesting.
Is turning off then on the same as restarting in windows, in terms of installing programs that require you to reboot??
