CPU Load 85% or more all the time, if I go to window task manager and unload iexsplore.exe. the load is down to 2-5%. In about 10 sec. the program reloads and my load is back to 85% or more. Do I need this program ? How can I unload it for good.

I'd say that's Internet Explorer- the web browser.

1) You could try running the install for the newest Internet Explorer- see if there might be a glitch with yours?

2) You could go to "Control Panel"- & on the lefthand side click:

"Set program access & defaults"-

change to another browser completely, such as Opera, Mozilla, etc...

3) Another great link:

www.blackviper.com

lefthand side, about halfway down: click on "Windows XP services" to see what you can set to manual or disable to free extra CPU cycles. I shut off 22!

Hope this helps. Rerunning the IE install would be very quick & you'd know if it helped right away.
