I just got a new Dell Notebook, an Inspiron 5160 with a Pentium 4, 2.8gh cpu and 512 megs of Ram.
Problem is, I can't live without my Homestarruner or Shockwave in general, and everytime I try to load a webpage with ANY sort of flash media running on it, the page loads half-way and then just seems to give up. Any ideas? I have Flash 7, and my wireless connection is nearly always running at top speed. I just don't get it.

Hi!
Well the first thing I would do is (if you don't have it already), download:
Spybot S&D @ majorgeeks.com
Adaware SE @ majorgeeks.com
SpyWareBlaster @ majorgeeks.com
ZoneAlarm @ zonelabs.com
CWShredder @ majorgeeks.comUpdate them all and then run them.
ZoneAlarm usually is automatically updated as soon as you download the program.
That is one of the best firewalls around.
You do not have to run ZA, it will do the work right away.
Also, get a good antivirus program...
AVG is good and it is free. @ majorgeeks.com
All the above mentioned programs are free. You could be loaded with spyware, etc and thus having a slow computer.
If you need further help, you can email me, just click my name in this post and it will give you my email addy.
HTH...
