I'm looking to buy a Zalman CPU fan for my Athlon 64 3000+, do I have to remove the mobo from the case to do it?

AMD Athlon 64 3000,
512mb RAM,
120GB Hard Drive
Gigabyte K8NS Mobo
Powercolor 9800SE AIW
15' LCD

No you dont !!!

As long as you have enough room in the case to work you should be ok.

Just remove the agp card if you wish, just to give you that extra spce to work in. And if necessry remove the PSU.

It just depends how much room you have in the case.

However if the retention mechanism requiers back spacer like the video card cooler than yes you will need to remove the board.

OOpss almost forgot about that.

You will need to remove the board for that one.

There is about 10 or 12 diff models you need to be carefull which one u use, one of them is so big its not funny.
