I am trying to count the number of times where a criteria is satisfied in Column A OR Column B. That is, count the number of times that Age in Column A is <10 or Age in Column B is <10. If I use the Countifs it returns the number of times both criteria are met and I am at a loss for how to say Countif this OR this criteria is met, not countifs this AND this criteria is met. Help!

Stumped, seems to me that you just need a couple of variables. Use the countifs statement in conjunction with an if/then/else statement to determine col. A or col. B so you know which one to increment. Increment variable 'A' or 'B' as each is encountered and then print the variables when you're done and reset so you're ready for next time. HTH. Ed in Texas.
