Why is XP so s---e??? Ive installed it 6 times in the last couple of weeks because files are constantly getting corrupted. The last time it managed to wipe most of the disk. After running scandisk, it revealed a bad File Allocation Table and approx 3000 lost chains on drive C:. Drive D had files which had been duplicated with exactly the same date, time and filename and others which had filenames beloning to other files. All of this may happen after 1) a stop error. 2) The PC hangs. 3) The PC starting making strange sounds and the re-boots. WHAT THE HECK.. I SAY.. WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN ON???
