I have added a second HD and installed WinXP on it. While installing a Zip drive to my XP printer installation I misconnected a connection resulting in the following message appearing during the Zip drive installation: 'The preceding entry point Thunk connect32 could not be located in the dynamic Link Library Kernel 32 dll'. I am now in a delema, since SFC is not available in XP I can no longer replace the corrupted Kernal dll. Since the XP installation is newly installed, I don't have a restore installation to fall back on. Can someone advise me how to replace the corrupted dll file.

I ran sfc/scannow on my computer but when I tried the Zip installation I received the same error message. Then my senses returned and I realized I had not checked for the latest driver upgrade. After installing the latest driver version the Zip application installed successfully. What did I mean 'sfc is not available in XP?. When I coudn't find SFC in the XP menu (a la Win98) I assumed It was not available in XP, an unfortunate error statement for me to make. Thank you Arctos, FJ and cnf for your generous help.
