in CP there are user accs /felix: guest (off) & ASP.NET Machine A...? in documents & settings there are 4: administrator felix: felix: all users & felixtc felixtc is corrupt programs crash or exit eh lavasoft: reg cleaners : search/find files etc lava soft stops at exact same spot in registry so do other programs can't delte felixtc as is part of windows I can access felix, all users & administrator felix without problems felixtc crashes & freezes every time what do I do tried a system restore/ no change

ASP.NET Machine A...? That User Account is showing in Control Panel User Accounts, but not on Logon screen, or in the folder C:\Documents and Settings It is created by a program called Microsoft .NET Framework and is shown in Add/Remove Programs. No need to worry about it. --------------- As for a possible corrupted Account, you may try this- How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile Print that for reference.

thanks chuck2/ I did find that but not as straightforward as it says in CP have 2 user aser a/c's9adminstrator & felix) in documents & settings have admiistrator felix: felix & elixtc anyway what happend I added another user name (pedro) but in regedit it came up as felixtc.xp anyway prob is no more I fiddled around regedit until my profile could not be retrieved did try copying from one profile to another have now deleted all profiles except adm felix, felix & felixtc & felixtc is no longer corrupt(think I ended up with felixtc during a xp repair, couldn't use felix for some odd reason, sorted it out but was stuck with felixtc also) all working perfectly/ did a restore in the middle when no where else to go so exatly how I fixed the problem I don'tknow thanks for your reply
