corrupt profile message-missing files

March 11, 2011 at 08:40:10
Specs: Windows XP, Intelcore i5 / 4GB
When I turned on the computer today, entered my password (administrator account) I received a message saying "corrupt user profile - insufficient security rights".
After turning the system on and off it allowed me in; the system was much slower and all files and documents were inaccesible. I seem to be accessing fresh new account with only programs loaded?

I have a raid0 configured system, my files must be in there somewhere.
Please help – I run by business on this machine.

How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile

When your profile is corrupt, windows logs you on with a temporary profile (which is of course empty), but your original profile (with all files intact) will still be there under the Documents and settings folder. I would create a new user, log on as that (it will create a new permanent profile) then copy/move the data from your old profile, then remove the old user. If you use Outlook or Outlook Express for email your emails and address book will also be stored in old profile - you can import them into new. Post back if you need info about this.
