corrupt profile, cant delete

Hi- I had to reinstall Thunderbird after the previous one crashed. I can't delete the old profile because folder Locals-1 in it is corrupted. Setting properties to allow read did not help. Want to get rid of the corrupt file. Thanks, Ellen

The profile of Thunderbird will be deleted from the profile manager of Thunderbird. The profile manager can be started with: c:\path_to_thunderbird\thunderbird.exe -p

The corrupt profile is no longer in Thunderbird. I just looked at the folder properties, allowed read, and was able to delete it. This is baffling, because I did that before posting to this board and it didn't work. Thank you for your help. Ellen
