Hello--

I have a folder with 22gb of photos in it. Something is up with it-- the icon changed to one of those default icons when windows doesn't know what to associate a file type with-- kinda looks like a dos screen icon...

Anyway, the name is there, without a proper folder icon, and it's showing 0kb.

It's a slave drive. I ran spinrite on it, and it checked out ok, but same thing. Here's a screenshot.

Also did a chkdsk. Nada errors.

I noticed that you said something about the icons. Winxp has an icon cache similar to Win98se.

Try deleting the icon and font caches in the user folder having trouble, reboot and try again.

If that does not work, tell it to set all the folders back to all the default settings in the folder options area is something to try.
