Corrupt File Unable to Degraf

Specs: Windows XP
When I try to defragment my system I get the following error message
Disk defragmenter cannot continue because there is a corruption in file
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application

Try this for starters:

Type chkdsk.exe /f in the Run box (note the space before f) and hit Enter key. It should say it can only do this on reboot - you answer Y and hit Enter. Reboot and let it run through and restart Windows. Try Defrag again.

Fine, thx for popping back. It was probably "just one of those things" but keep an eye on your HD in case it is starting to fail. If it defrags it is one good sign.
