corrupt file computer wont boot up

help!!! the computer starts up and goes straight to a black screen that says "corrupt file" and the computer wont boot up. what can i do????? please.

Need more information than just saying "corrupt file". Like name of file.

the file is a win.32 file thats corrupt. should i just reformat it. and if so...how could i do that with it all messed up?

you can always reformat but you will lose any installed programs, bookmarks, etc
