Hi,
Is anyone experiencing issues with Auto updates? I am using my wife's PC and the auto update feature keeps telling us that Core Services 4.0 service Pack 2 (KB954430) is waiting to be installed. I run it, and seconds later, the reminder comes up again to install it. I checked the update history and it shows that it installed successfully as of 11/16/08. This has been happening since 11/16/08. I tried looking for an e-mail to send to Microsoft but unless I missed it, they only have an option to pay $59 for e-mail support. I just want to bring this to their attn.

I found the answer. I hope. I went to the control panel, add/remove programs. located the update and UNINSTALLED it!. Then I returned to the Windows update and allowed it to do it's job of installing it again. (the 9th time) So far (45 minutes later) the repetitive reminder to install the update has not re-appeared.
