Hi, I bought an old Micosoft cordless mouse for a buck. Other than batteries, does it require something else to operate, i.e. some sort of receiver on the computer? ......... john

Well, each transceiver is unique to each mouse. Its doubtful you could buy a transceiver for that mouse.Chances of you getting it to work are remote at best. I have a laser wireless mouse myself and it was around $25 and required me to install nothing just plug in the transceiver and batteries for the mouse.
