Go to the website of your hard drive manufacturer. They will have a FREE utility to do just what you need.

Not possible to just 'copy' the O/S without all ur other installs/data etc, but if u were to minimalise the C drive by uninstalling all ur apps/games etc and then make a 'Ghost' or 'Drive Image' image of ur XP drive to ur Win98 drive, u will get as close as u can. Of course u could save ALL ur data if u wanted via Ghost.
When u fit the new HD, u can 'restore' the image to it and always keep the image as a backup in case of a catastrophe !!
