In WINDOWS XP - I have (1) folder that contains several subfolders - in each of those sub-folders are a number of documents (WORD, Excel, JPEG's, etc). I need to be able to copy the original folder containing all the other folders into at least 40-50 other folders at one time. All told, the one folder needs get copied into over 800 other folders. I have been doing this "manually" (copy & paste) for the last 2 years and it is now way too time-consuming. I have tried the "copy to other folders" software from 2 companies, but neither one works very well. How do I go about getting a program written to do this or is that even possible? Thanks for any advice or input - Cheryl

If you were using Linux or UNIX, I could tell you a way to do it from a script that would be completely automated. However, my batchfiling skills are sadly lacking so I can't tell you how to do it in a batchfile.

What you should do is use the computing.net private message function and PM a fellow by the name of Mechanix2Go and ask him if it's possible to do this in a batchfile. He is THE best batchfiler I know and if someone can figure out a way to automate this with a batchfile, it'll be him.

Thanks you for your fast reply - I appreciate it. I will get with your contact about the batch file. I have tried Robocpy but it cannot handle multiple files like these. Thanks!!
