I want to record a power point presentation onto a VHS for my church. I've got the cables to get the screen shot on the TV, but I cant record what is shown on the television. It just records channel 3. Not the video channel. You have to change it from TV/Video. Not working!! aaah and i need it by Sunday!! father's day!!
Help!
Melissa

On the remote to the vcr there should be an "input" button. Most of the time this button isnt located on the vcr itself so this can be frustrating if you dont have the remote. The vcr/tv button changed the vcr to tv mode so you can record something, while watching something else on the tv. The input button on the remote will change the inputs on the back of the vcr from coax (channel 3 perhaps) and your rca inputs, where your computer is hooked in. Hope this helps!

Do you know what you are trying to do, because I can't understand what you've written.
You have a Presentation in PowerPoint and you want it 'recorded' onto a VHS tape! Forget TV for the moment.
SO: the VIDEO OUT needs to be connected to a VCR as VIDEO IN or 'LINE IN'.
Then run the PowerPoint and record it on the VCR.
Then play back the tape with the VCR connected to a TV.
If all you need to do is output your video {the PowerPoint presentation} to a TV then connect the Video Out from the PC to the TV Video In or Line in. EASY as 1-2-3.
Contrary to what your subject line says it is impossible to 'copy' from PC to TV as there is not a recorder built into a PC! You can display the PC display to a TV if and only if there is a composite video out or other video out format with which your TV has a corresponding input socket.
