hi there. what is the easy way to copy data not OS from 1 xp to another ? problem i have (will have) is stuff like default audio software save's. old system just has 1 hardrive (C) new system has 5, the main software will be installed on C but sample directorys will be on new drive (not C ) messing up the file path when trying to open a software, then theres plugin directorys, automation saves :( ... any ideas what i shall do ,, i do have an unsused hdd and abbility to network both systems. but hopeing for a solution on file paths ... thank you

yes i do have a CD burner (not very fast on the comp im trying to move from but it works lol :) ) i think i should say - the kind of numbers of files and saves will be easyier to say (aprox 3yrs of ideas+work over 50gb of sound in use) IMO the file saves are worth more to me than the host software. im trying the host software , i'e messup file paths on saves and see if it will let me point to new location's and the rest of the saves will auto detect directory, not much luck at the mo :) i dont wanna jump untill i know il land on my feet :( ,,,, cheers m8
