Specs: Windows XP
Klint,
I've read the posts you've replied to and need your help. I need to copy *.tap files from many folders to one TAP Files folder.
How??

Presumably you are familiar with multiple file highlighting using the keyboard - if not I can explain. Copy/Paste can then be achieved quite quickly.

It is possible to write a batch script or scripts and run them from the command prompt but it would be a fairly time consuming process and probably no quicker than using the keyboard.

What's the time?

Derek,
I know how to Copy\Paste....in fact I set up a Send To and shortcuts in my Send\To and did the first large group of Folders that way.....too time consuming.....I have an extensive list of folders with *.tap files in them and want the *.tap files in one folder.......batch file or vbs file or cmd file is the way I'd like to go....

I'd toss up a batch script, but this thread is addressed to Klint. Good luck on that, by the way. I was under the impression he only frequents the Programming board, and only if you have a loose definition of "frequent."

Oh, alright:

FOR /R "someDir" %%a IN (.) DO COPY "%%a\*.tap" "one folder"

Indeed I did. Otherwise, I'd have put a "(Untested):" disclaimer on it.

we've gone beyond displaying all that to the World. Know what I mean?
