i have a new hard drive and i want to copy the old drive files to the new drive. i have already used maxblast 3 (both drive types are maxtor) to copy the files, but when i switched the configuration it booted up to the blue welcome screen and just stopped. is there a step i'm missin? why won't it start?

i don't have the ntldr or the ntdetect.com files on the old hard drive...this is xp pro, i don't know if that makes a diff. the boot.ini file was there but the copy program took care of that, it is on the new drive already.
