bjorn,
If you are running windows 2000, XP etc. (Not sure about 95, 98, ME) then you can use the "tree" command.
Get into DOS (Click Start -> Run -> "cmd").
navigate to your directory you want to list. "tree /?" gives you the options for this command. If you have subdirs use "tree /f" otherwise just use "tree".
What appears on your screen is a picture (a tree) of all your files. Maximize window, highlight with mouse and press enter (ctrl-c does not work to copy ... I don't know why).
Open excel and paste (ctrl-v).
If you are a little more experienced then try the following: "tree > filename" This will place the contentse of the directory listing into a text file called: "filename" which you can then import into Excel.
Hope this helps!!
Cheers
Jason C.
