Comment:

I got a new 200gb HD to replace my old 60gb one, I found a program to copy my entire 60gb hard drive to my newer one, and it worked...

However, I want to boot up and run all my programs from my new drive, How would I go about doing this?

Would i need to change my hard drive letter? (old is C, new is G)

:-) Thanks

A new HDD usually comes with software that can be used to partition, format, & clone the contents of the old HDD onto the new one.

I think you need to explain what you did & how & what program you used. It doesn't sound you have the new HDD connected as the primary master

Hi CorysProbs, jam, hi everyone

My first guess is as good as jam's, the new HDD is not jumperd right and therefor not attached or better say detected as PRImary MAster.

"(old is C, new is G)"
Say's enough...
You will have to switch the jumper position on both your old and your new HDD.
The old would need to be set to SLave, and the new one needs to be set to MAster.

To give you a idea of what to look for on the drives, in random order;
Maxtor
Seagate
Western Digital

With the knowledge of the manufacturer and model of the drives maybe we can provide you the exact settings or picture.
