Comment:

I have WinXP- Home Edition preinstalled on my LAPTOP. I want to use Remote Desktop Web Connection to Remotely connect to My Office Computer, but the XP-Home edition does not support Remote Desktop Web Connection. Is there any way to convert my Home Edition to Professional or install Remote Desktop in XP-Home.

Actually, you have confused how Remote Desktop Web Connection works. The Office machine (HOST) requires XP Pro to setup Remote Desktop hosting. Your Laptop (CLIENT) only requires Internet access to talk to your office machine. Once you connect to your Office machine, you'll be asked to install an ActiveX plug-in for Internet Explorer. That's it.

However, if you have an IT group looking after your office computer and you have no Administrator access and/or your company has firewalls, etc. then you should ask them for help, as your challenge is far greater than just configuring software.
