We have upgraded from Office '97 to Office XP and I would like to know how to convert all my old word and excel files so XP will recognize them.

Thanks

Pete - I don't think you need to convert anything. I can open/modify all my Office '97 files in XP with no problem. The file formats have not changed since Office 97. When you save after opening and/or modifying the file will be saved with any necessary convertions, but these are not normally needed unless you open files from applications other than OFFICE.

Just as MaryB stated, all should be fine and no type of conversions should be needed.
