could anyone please help ?
I was trying to format my hard drive ( for the first time) and i didnt enable large disk support. now i cant partition more than 2gb. Want to creat one large partition, tryed to format and reinstall dos but am not getting the option again.
I beleave ive created fat16 file system and need to use fat 32 how do I convert to this? Thank you in advance.

If you're ultimately trying to install XP (if not why are you here !) then boot from the XP CD and it will offer you the option to change the partitions.

You don't need to play around in DOS but if you must then boot from a 98 floppy and use Fdisk to delete the unwanted partition.

kinel is correct. The only logical reason I can see to setup the disk from DOS is if you want to run FAT32 on a disk or partition larger than 32GB. Otherwise, you can do it all from the CD.
