I have signed up with the new Napster, and have downloaded music files for $0.99ea. I noticed the downloaded files are in Windows Media Audio (WMA)format which Nero 6 can't convert to Wave Files for burning to cd. Nero says the file is unsupported. Does anyone know how I can get these downloaded files on cd as Wave Files?
Thanks,
Bruce

bruce,

Grab dBPowerAmp (free download) and then all you have to do is right click on any WMA file and choose to convert to either MP3 or WAV which Nero can use.

Just drag them into the program window and click convert.

AltoMp3 is free and very easy along with many others out there.Next suggestion:Upgrade to listening to your music through a Mp3 enabled device.Wav is old school and the files are way too large.

Thanks everyone.
I found the problem to be that the downloads from Napster have DRM (Digital Rights Management), which won't allow me to convert to a wave file in order to burn it on a cd and then play the cd in my car.

go to nero's website and download the wma support driver, it might be called something else. you can now just make an audio cd and drag and drop wma files. Instead of converting it to a wav first.

Also I think that you need to use the napster client to burn a cd. Other burning software will not work.
