convert ntfs to fat32 in xp????

hi guys . i want to convert ntfs to fat 32 in a double partitioned harddisk under win xp . ( pq partition magic does not do the work!. paragon "cant find the crack "i dont know how it works under dos.) somebody..........thx

the only way i know, without wiping out the partitions, is to use partition magic 7

Converting from NTFS to FAT is always possible with PM7. Not jet found an other software to do it. In Windhoos: impossible!

As far as i've seen you cannot convert ntfs to fat 32. you go from fat 32 to ntfs but not backwards. this is because the two formats are radically different in the way they store data.

Arg! I forgot to type "NOT". so it is NOT ALWAYS possible with PM7!!!

I had no problems returning a large partition space from NTFS to Fat32 using partition magic 7.0 no data loss either. Just be sure your system will boot from cd or create floppy rescue discs

I tried converting back to FAT32 using PM7 and had no sucsess, just alot of sparse files which even their tech support couldnt resolve, I ended up having to use a win 98 boot disk to format because the FAT32 format option seemed to have dissapeared off the winxp disc once I was using NTFS!
Summary: You can stop trying to convert NTFS to FAT32 in Partition Magic because it will only work on a non primary drive. I have been going through the same issues and am about to use a bootdisk and del all ...
