Comment:

I upgrade from Wins ME to Winx XP and during installation the modem is not compatible with Xp and i did not uninstall the program. After installation I remove the program susing DOS but the "MODEM COUNTRY SELECTION" appear at the CONTROL PANEL.

How do I remove the icon at CONTROL PANEL,if I click with the mouse,it reads modem not install properly. But I have already remove the USB device. Will deleting the modem log at windows remove the Icon from Control panel??

Thanks for any advise.

I found the solution to your problems.

Go to start then click run type regedit.
Then go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP FOLDER

AND DISABLE ANY ICON YOU WANT TO REMOVE.
