Control panel view control missing

CPU/Ram: p3 800mhz
Comment:

the switch in the control panel to change to classic view or catagory view is missing but the common task bar is viewable. What do i have to do to get that option back on the common tasks bar in the control panel?

In the left pane, click on the up arrows or the words Control Panel.
