For some reason my 'ctrl' key has decided not to work. I have an HP laptop running Windows XP and as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything at all, rather than in certain programmes.

I use Norton System Works and that doesn't come up with any problems.

Has anyone got any bright ideas?

Many thanks,

Nick

My Control key stopped working -- it was dirt under the key :)

Try looking in the Control Panel, keyboard icon. Maybe you have a wrong keyboard driver ? Maybe run the Troubleshooter.
