Start up and system goes to XP window with the green bar floating across the bottom, the flash of blue screen and back to booting, this loop keeps going. Tryed Safe mode, Last Known. Pull all the cards out and the ram. Did a fixboot and fixmbr from console. Tryed to reinstall but right after the licence agreement I get the blue screen saying "Problem has been deteceted blaa blaa REGISTRY_ERROR If this is the first time blaa blaa Tecchnical info ***STOP: 0X00000051 (0x00000003,0x0000000,OxE10F6000) So it won't even let me reinstall. nothing new has been put into the system. HP Pavillon 750n
Along with the above link; A friends computer did the same thing (PIII 800)and it turned out to be faulty compressors on the motherboard. There are thousands of these boards with the faulty (bootlegged) compressors and most of the major pc makers have been had by these faulty parts. Open your case and check for leaking compressors, they look like small AA batteries, if that is the problem, the board is no good. Reports are that it takes about 2 years of use for these compressors to rupture.

It is definitely a hardware problem you are having. As to the exact cause it is most likely motherboard as you have tried new RAM by the sounds of things. It could also be something silly like bad CD-ROM, HDD, or cables.

Make sure you do a complete wipe of your harddrive (re-format or re-partition) before you try a re-install. It could just be trying to install on top of the old version! I'm having this same problem with Win2kPro right now. I'm getting a whole new drive and going to XP Pro. :)
