I was just wondering where can i find out the number of commands i can use under the windows xp command line (not the recovery console) and explanation of their uses.

Daniel, They are all on your machine. Go to Start, Help and Support, type into the search line: Command-line reference A-Z, then click on the appearing line in the left pane and you will get a list with about 170 commands. Click on a command to see the full funcion of it.
