Hi, my connection status show on the activity window the amount of bytes of data that it sent and receives the question is the sent amount is 25% of the received amount is that normal? even though I don't have anything open.

A normal ethernet connection is always using traffic. It can't be determined how much one side is to the other side.
I suggest you install wireshark. It will show you all the traffic. See how to sort each type in columns by ip protocol and others. See also how a packet is broken down to a lot of overhead to a bit of data sometimes.
