Each time I plug a live firewire or network cable into my pc my web connection stops working. The modem dials and I'm logged on by my isp BUT no server is ever found and Outlook won't send/receive. Each time I have to use XP RESTORE. How the hell do I find out what's being changed by Plug n Pray ? Thanks !

Well that's a weird one, but as no-one else has replied, I'll give my 2p's worth.....

Have a look in device manager and see if u have any yellow exclamation marks - could be an IRQ conflict.

Whether yes or no, you could try re-fitting the cards in different PCI slots.
