Connection Fail?

OKay I 4got the name of the cord, but is that cord that is used on to computers to share internet connection.. I'm have troble connect to the internet with the two computers, It just doesn't seem to work when I go network setup wizard, and I go through everything, at the end of the other computer it say that an error has happend.. you might need to do this manualy or try again with different settings... what's the problem.... and how can I connect the computers to share an interent connection? Opps 4got... both computers are running Window's XP

Make it easy. Purchase a router (on sale + rebate for under $45) and have 2 separate (independent) connections.
