Hey folks,
I'm connecting my PC up2 a TV, but I can only get black and white! It doesn't appear to me a PAL/NTSC mismatch. It has to be a setting on the PC somewhere cuz it's not the TV - I tried another.

I'm using a GeForce FX 5500 if that's any help to any of you?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Cheerz,
AJ

Do you mean you are outputting TO the TV (like a secondary display) or running the TV (cable) INTO the computer to use as a DVR (Digital Video Recorder)?

Right click on the desktop and selct Properties. Click on Settings and make sure the display is set for color and also go into advanced and check all the settings in there. Are you using S-video out from your PC or some other connection ?

Yes, I'm using S-Video out.

I've checked all those settings, ensured color is selected, altered 24bit/32bit colors.

Still Black And White

Are you sure the tv is compatible with S-Video? Is there a dedicated S-Video input into the tv or are you connecting it via a S-Video to Scart/phono leads?

I had the same problem on my two tv's the picture was perfect but only in b&w. I tried it on my newest tv which has a dedicated S-Vid input and worked great.

Hey James,

It's going through the phono leads. Tried it with a scart adaptor as well and same problem.

Unfortunately there's no direct S-Video in on the TV. :( Any ideas how to fix it?
