My JVC Digital camcorder Model DX95ek connects okay to transfer video and still pictures. However when I try and use it as a webcam on MSN Messenger (model literature says this can be done)It will not "find" my camera. When I then try and use Install/Add Hardware..same problem. I connect using a USB port.
Is there some problem with JVC and Widows XP? I have looked on the JVC support site and there advice is very confusing!!
I am based in United KIngdom. Any help appreciated

I've a similar but different problem - I have a JVC GRDX100EK - and cannot get any output via USB. It shows as 'unknown device' and Win XP refuses to install any of the drivers on the disk that came with the camcorder (new this month)
Is there any secret to geting the camcorder to be recognised by Win XP as a USB device.
I too am based in United Kingdom. Any help appreciated

Hello Mr. John Wilson,
I came across the same problem.
When you try to install the usb-driver, right click the intaller software ,go to properties, you will find the check-box saying 'run in win 98' compatibility mode. click that and then install. It ll work.
