I was just wondering me and my friend have tried to play various multiplayer games connecting through ip's. I don't exactly know how to do this. She is on a cable modem so they are two ip address I guess one for like is it a domain or a router? I am on dsl so I have one that says auto configuration ip address and a bunch of numbers then just ip address and then 8 numbers. I was just wondering how we woudl connect to play something like quake 2. What all would I enter and also I am runing a firewall (zonealarm with the security settings set to high) Will this keep us from being able to connect or not. Sorry for the confusion and Thanks in advance.
