Connect directly to another computer

Hi, I can't choose "Connect directly to another computer" in New Connection.
I've connect XP with 2000 thru the null-modem cable (COM port)

How are you trying to connect to another computer. Trough a network, X-Over cable, or Firewir,or USB? Need more info...

Direct connection through a Serial Cable (COM Ports)

Are you shure your cable is a null modem cable? It then should work. Otherwise you can try it with a Laplink serial or Laplink parrallel cable. If you have Network cards installed on both PC's get a X-over cable which is the best solution.

It works now (half way):
When I connect to WinXP from Win2000 it goes without a problem, BUT when I click on XP's computer name in "Computers near me" in Win2000 to come into a WinXP, it displays at my username or password is incorrect!
I have same username and password on both machines!
