We have a broadband connection here at work.
It is Road Runner through Time Warner Cable.
It is run through a Linksys router. We also have various people who come and plug into the router to go on line with their laptops. Every couple of days, the modem needs to be recycled because certain people can not connect yet others at the same time are using the connection. After recycling, everything is fine for a day or two until computers start getting locked out again.

Does the modem only handle so many connections before it locks new ones out?

I'm confused why I have to keep recycling the modem to let everyone into the connection.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks. Matt B.

It may also help to know that the modem is a Toshiba PCX2500.

You may want to change the length of the DHCP IP Lease time. I would suggest one day leases.

You may also want to check how many IP addresses the router is set to allow through DHCP.
