When I decide to install Norton 2005 I forget to unistal the other antivirus, Eset Secure, and when i start the windows the programs don't load and i can not use start or any else command. I tried to start in safe mode but doesn't boot the windows. I wait for 5-10 minutes, but nothing. I think to boot in safe mode with command promt to disable norton, but i don't know how. PLEAS HELP ME!

I have an external USB HD enclosure. With one of those you can remove the drive and connect it to another PC, delete one or the other and put the HD back into the original machine. They cost about $40.

Most people tend to go the other way. From Norton to eset. I did, and am satisfied. Also 2005 is very much outdated.

I have to agree with bluejay, you're doing things backwards. Norton has a long reputation for being a resource hog, often resulting in a system slowdown. It can also be a pain to remove, sometimes.

The two antivirus programs that I advise against are Norton and McAfee.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
