Confirm text appears in two sheets

I want to varify that some text "string" in one sheet does appear in another. I need a formula that would type 'true' or 'false' next to each cell checked.

Can you explain yourself a little better please. Firstly are you talking about working with MS Excel?? Secondly where do you need this formula? What format should the 'text' be in. Explain what you are trying to do with a little more detail and we can possibly help. Bunty.
