I have win xp as server.and win 98 as 4 workstations/clients.The internet is available on the server but recently due to some fault of somebody the configurations on clients are not picking up the internet from the server. Networking setup wizard though runs on xp but it does not run on win 98s and gives error messages such as u have no permissions then terminates.I called for help someone who downloades a proxy server naviscope and configured the settings.the internet runs on all the computers now but I want to know the procedure to run it without proxy server by manually configuring the win 98 computers.the details of settings are: Ipaddress:10.13.226.87 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 default gate way 10.13.226.1 preferred dns 202.144.50.4 alt dns 202.144.13.1 the lan ip address for the server is 192.168.0.1 Please let me know how to use the settings in windows 98 so that the internet is available on all the clients. Thanks

vkwd7, pure SWAG, since all the 98 users got blocked, makes me think of a firewall. Is it possible the server has one and permissions need to be granted? HTH. Ed in Texas.
