Howdy, Depends on who makes the modem. Conexant only makes the chipset. If you can tell me what numbers are on the modem our the chipset itself, it will help. Also, a FCC ID # might shed some light as well.
Laters,
Kevin The Tech Dude

i have also the same problame. i have got

i need modem drvers for conexant rockwell new v92 56k modem for windows xp. i don't have the numebrs on the modem right now. thanks for your help...

hi guys! i found out that there are many conexant driver that is available at acersupport.com. just find it there at drivers and downloads

I'm using a generic Soft56K driverwith XP since I could not find the Conexant 56K fax, data, voice PCI drivers.
Can someone please let me know if they find it?
The generic drivers for some reason leave the modem speaker on even after connecting so you can hear the constant "buzz" of data. (Am I mising something here...?)

I haven't tried Generic Drivers for My Soft56K Conexant based Best Data Modem but I tried everything I could do with the other drivers. No you can't force Windows 2000 drivers to work on Windows XP. I tried everything I could and in the end I changed my modem with Lucent for a while. I thought it would be available by the time Windows XP release but its not yet.
If someone finds the right driver for the hardware, for Windows XP, let me know.

hey everyone
Yeah.....I have a conexant modem and its drivers wont work in xp. I tried other drivers but they didnt work. Any solutions?????

To all the guys who are looking for Conexant 56K drivers...update ur drivers to generic fujitsu modem drivers which u can find under the manufacturer generic in the driver update screen...and it works fine absolutely.

guys, "cool" is absolutely right, thx to him my modem works perect, I got XP today and conexant didnt work blah blah..so I tried the genric Aztec thing driver, it worked but that dial noise kept on goin and goin..even after connection...but those fujitsu one is perfect.. I am using one ending with "e"

Really simple question
Where do I find the generic fujitsu drivers? I have been to the Fujitsu web page and I don't see generic drivers.
Please help.
This is to upgrade the Conexant Softk 56 PCI modem for XP.

i found a lot of conexant/rockwell drivers available at this site:
http://members.cnx.net/reboot/modems/
its the most comprehensive list I have been able to find so far.

Hi everyone,
I'm having the same problems (ie have a Conexant modem ie cheap junk), I'm going to try installing the Fujistsu drivers and see what happens. I will also check out the sites mentioned above. I will let everyone know if there's anything. Modems are not really that expensive, I'll probably end up buying a new one if these little tricks don't work.
