Hi,
I don't know where to post this, I was looking for just a general section for computing.net - so I'll put it here and the moderators can move it if they need to.
Basically, I'm just wondering what happened to computing.net? Tom's Guide bought it? I also don't see some of the regulars in here, "Jam" "XPUser", etc... (maybe I just didn't look in the right posts.) I do see "OnTheHill" though. I don't see an "About Us" page anywhere on here to fill us in on the change. I still feel that this is the BEST forums on the net for tech help - I've been coming here for YEARS. If anyone can tell me about the change-over, that would be great! Thanks!!

I expect the webmaster will reply but by and large it's just a change of eye candy. Justin is still the webmaster and all the regulars still respond (including those you mentioned).
There was a post about it somewhere or other.
some other bloke...

The page was changed earlier this week. Justin's original announcement was deleted by him due to reasons unclear to me.

Hey,
I removed that post because it contained a lot of hateful comments toward certain cultures.
Anyway, yes, Computing.Net has merged with the company that owns Tom's Guide. The site, however, will still be run the same way. You will notice new features and additional content in the future, but no major changes in the way the forum operates.
Thanks,
Justin
