So I just pieced together a new computer and was I was trying to update the bios. The update tool finished and the system attempted to restart. Once the screen went black and the computer never turned off. After about 20min of waiting I manually restarted the computer. The computer boots (HDD spins, fans come on, disc drive can open) but there are no beeps and there is no display. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Read how to re-set the bios. Normally it is unplug, press power button a few times, then move a jumper for a second or two. Then BE sure to move the jumper back. Plug back in.
Could be video is set to wrong adapter if you have two adapters.
I have had to install that stuff blind a few times also.
"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
