Comment: This has been a problem for quite some time and I really don't know what I've done. It's simple, when I click 'Start' then 'Turn Off Computer' I'm confronted with the three options:- 'Stand By' 'Shut Down' and 'Restart', upon clicking 'Restart' the computer just turns itself off and does not reboot. I have to press the 'On' button to turn it back on. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Is there something in the registry that's been changed? Please help. Thanks JM Ode to a small lump of green putty I found in my armpit one midsummers morning...

Reply: (edit)What is the model of your computer ? If your computer is Fujitsu or Siemens then there is a patch on the their site. Otherwise, read the MS solution, which is sligtly match to your case! http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;320299
