My computer won't boot. Well, it will, just not past the Windows XP Splash Screen. It half-fades the XP splash screen and hangs. I cannot start it in safemode or with the last good configuration. I know there is a way to use System Restore, I am just not sure how, otherwise I would have ried that first. Thanks!

UPDATE: After surfing the web for a while, I found about the recovery console on the Windows XP CD. I tried loading it and from the time that I put the CD in to the time it took for it to load took over fifteen minutes. Is there just something wrong with my BIOS?

I had that happem to me once. Some setting in the bios got tweaked somehow, and caused the memory to slow down to a snails pace. Running memtest86 was incredibly slow. That's when I reset the bios and it cleared up the problem.
