I was having some problems with my floppy drive and someone recomended reseting my bios...so i did and now my computer will turn on, but it does nothing. The fans come on, but it doesnt access the harddrive, or any disk drives and nothing appears on the monitor. Ive tried pulling the battery out for 10 or more minutes and also restting using the jumpers and im still getting alot of nothing! Im running a Biostar M7TDF board...anyone have any ideas?!?!?

Are you sure you replaced the reset jumper back on the correct pins. Did you check what the boot sequence was reset to(IDE Harddrive, CDROM, etc.)?

You may want to try emailing your board manufacturer - looks like the bios has been corrupted... I did the same with my Dell laptop - fortunatly it had a NBD on site warranty!

You could also try unplugging all the Cards, RAM etc & making sure they are seated correctly - opening up your PC & messing with it may just have caused a bad connection somewhere.

I would got to the motherboard mfg. site and I know they have downloads available for bios, and They may have tips on what you can do to reload the bios. I would be careful and not ask that person anything about computers AGAIN> Lenny.
I am looking in my book that camt with my asus motherboard. It tells you what you have to do .It tells you can download to a diskette(I don't think they are talking of downloading to the computer that is down. I would look at the web site, if you didn't get a book with your motherboard. You can probably down load a read me file and then load the bios and follow the bouncing ball.
Good Luck Lenny
